The ICOM-CC working group Leather and Related Materials deals with theoretical and technical issues concerning the conservation of a wide variety of artefacts made of tanned or untanned animal skins, together with the diffusion and sharing of knowledge in the field. The main artefact categories in the group include: arms and armour, bookbindings, clothing and accessories, containers, furnishings, games, harnesses, means of transport, musical instruments, and shoes.
