Cyclododecane - its use on murals and stone
I am interested in accumulating instances of the use of cyclododecane in ways relevant to the working group. There is at least one article on the temporary consolidation of stone and other references to its use for paintings. Any case studies or short comments are welcome. Even if you have used it and wish to say so and nothing more, please add your experiences to this forum or through email. Andrew Thorn

Re: Cyclododecane - its use on murals and stone
This is a very interesting subject for me because I'm writing my bachelors thesis about cyclododecane this spring. I would also like to hear about any case studies or if anyone has suggestions for further research related to cyclododecane I would be grateful to hear about it.
I have used it mainly with mural paintings as a temporary protection during cleaning or retouching.
Here is one good link where you can find a lot of information also in english

Cyclododecane is an organic compound with the chemical formula (CH2)12. It is a waxy white solid that is soluble in nonpolar organic solvents.
