Summer school in contemporary art, law, and conservation
The members of the Legal issues in Conservation Working Group may be interested in this one week summer school program which will take place in Italy in July 2017.
Art & Law: Identity and Conservation of Contemporary Artworks: duties and responsibility
The summer school will examine the theoretical and practical issues raised by the contemporary arts in the context of law, philosophy and restoration.
Location: La Venaria Reale, Turin and Venice
Dates: July 3rd-9th, 2017
Language: English
Audience: conservators, curators, restorers,gallery owners, professionals and staff working in
institutions and museums of contemporary art, doctoral researchers in the legal, philosophical,
historical and artistic fields.
Duration: 1 week (seven days, from Monday to Sunday)
Structure: Morning lectures and afternoon case studies and round tables. Saturday and Sunday in Venice at “La Biennale” (open workshop, meetings and round tables)
Credits info: 6 ECTS Credits for University students, doctorals and professional associations.
Fee info: EUR 950(Fee includes all the lessons attendance, the educational material, classrooms and access to some areas of the Center, planned transfers (Venaria Reale - Turin; Turin -Venice), accommodation in Venice, facilities)
