Legal issues of 3D printing
This was passed along by our newest member, Tonny Beentjes. This conference doesn't have too much direct application to conservators at the moment, but still, it might be interesting to follow developments. New 3D printing methods allow us to reproduce objects for study, testing, etc., but also for artists to make multiple editions of objects, just like cast sculptures and lithographs, bringing up all sorts of issues such as copyrights, illegal copies, forgeries, etc. So if you are in the neighbourhood, it might be worth looking into.
