New York City, New York, USA - The World’s Photograph Conservators Coming Together!
Theme: “How and Why: Photograph Conservation Today”
• When to treat an object and to what extent
• What influence does the context of our work place (e.g. museum, archive, regional lab, private practice) have on decision making?
• Conservation for the art market, museums, and private collectors owners; similarities and differences
• Ethical and contextual considerations and influences
• Material and non-material contingency
• Relevance in the age of re-printing
• Connecting to your community
• Fundraising
• Conservation advocacy in the workplace and community
Submission Requirements: -Abstracts 500 words or less; -Preferred presentation format (see below). If both formats, give order of preference; -Speaker biography 300 words or less; -Name(s) of speaker(s) and any co-author(s); -Institution/company; - Postition title; -Contact e-mail address and telephone number;
Presentation Formats: -20-minute talks; -7-minute lightning-round session; -Language: English.
